National Junior Honor Society
Wright City Middle School has joined the prestigious ranks of the National Honor Society and initiated a chapter of the National Junior Honor Society this year. Not just an honor roll, the Honor Society establishes rules for membership that are based upon a student's outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship as these criteria form the foundation upon which the organization and its activities are built. Students are afforded consideration for induction the beginning of the second semester based on these criteria and will be informed by letter of their eligibility. Students will then be given the opportunity to fill out a form for induction that will include a faculty recommendation and student essay. The faculty council will select students and an induction ceremony held post selection.
