The counselor's office has many resources for scholarships. All seniors will receive an email with the most updated scholarships available to them. There is a scholarship file cabinet in the counselor's office as well.
COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIPS: The key is to apply for early admission and communicate with their financial aide office. Available NOW. As you apply for university admissions, be sure to apply for the college/university scholarships. these scholarships can be offered either "automatically" or through a competitive application process, so always read the fine print to understand the specific requirements. Check for deadlines.
ORGANIZATIONAL & EMPLOYER SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIPS: Contact the organizations tied into your child's career path or special interests/talents. Also check with your parent's employer through their Human Resource Department, if the student is employed, ask your employer as well. Check for deadlines
WRIGHT CITY LOCAL COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS: Annually The Wright City Community supports our graduating seniors, the local community organizations and private memorial scholarship funds are only allocated to the Wright City seniors. Applications will start soon and the deadline will be in April.

Below you will find the 2011-2012 ACT Test dates. Start taking your ACT Test in junior year and don’t wait until your senior year, especially do not wait until second semester senior year. By starting in your junior year you have many chances to improve your score. We will have ACT packets in the counseling office, but you can register online by going to www.act.org. The Wright City High School CEEB code is 263675. You will probably be taking the test at either Warrenton or Wentzville, but remember to use our code otherwise we will not be sent your results. Also, when you register for the ACT Test and you know what college or university you want your results to be sent to, please include their codes on the registration form. There is a list available either in paper form or on the website.
